Jennifer (Eaves) Scharman, a native of Earlville, NY has been a basketmaker since 1980. Since then, she has increased her knowledge of basketry by taking classes from national and international teachers. While many of her designs are inspired by traditional splint baskets and she has worked with various materials, most of her baskets are woven using reed.

Jennifer also teaches basketmaking and chair caning in her shop and studio The Gingham Patch located on Pratts Road outside of Bouckville, NY.
